| I can't believe how long it has been since my last entry! So much has changed, but I definitely won't take the time to recap everything that has happened. I will say that I'm enjoying the single life, and summer hasn't been too exciting. I did meet up with some friends from Furman and from high school, which was really nice. Most of the summer I spent working, relaxing, in class, or doing family stuff. I did make sure to have a few good times, but I'm looking forward to going back to school b/c this year is going to be a blast! I can't wait! Only a few more days now. |

| We've been back at Furman for almost two weeks now. Classes are going well. I think they'll actually be pretty easy for once. We also had formal rush the past two weeks, and yesterday was bid day. I am so excited for my new sisters! We have an awesome group of girls.
On another semi-related note people just really frustrate me sometimes when they are insincere and fake. I just don't understand how or why some things happen, and its funny how you can determine your true friends.
Anyway, this past weekend has been awesome, especially saturday night when we had our sisterly celebration for the end of recruitment. Let's just say that I absolutely love my roommate, and she was the life of the party.
| I don't think I have too much to say even though it's been awhile since I last updated. Well, I've been working a lot lately-a lot more than what I thought I would be, but I think I'll have less hours in the weeks to come. But I did see Ashley Steenken at the mall on Friday when I was working. It was so awesome to see her. I hope your box tie formal or whatever it was went well!
My family moved to a different house, so that's exciting. We're now located in East Cooper, and I was lucky and didn't have to help with this move! I have the new address and phone number if you need them.
I'm excited about Anchor Smash this week with DG. We have all kinds of activities lined up including a serenade, spam carving contest, concert, and flag football tournament. I'm coaching the KD team with Katie Cornelius, and it should be a lot of fun. Last weekend we had our sisterhood retreat in Blowing Rock, N.C., and boy was that an adventure. Lucky us, part of the road had been washed away so we had to take some detours which got us off track on our directions, and we had to turn around various times and ask for directions like three times, one of which, we were sent in a circle. One car ended up about three hours later than the rest of us, and one group never made it because they ended up in Tennessee. On the way back we took a wrong turn and Katie's (automatic) car ended up stalling. Lucky for us, Kim is an automotive expert (not really) and knew how to get the car started after we had to push it back from the end of the road (which was the edge of a hill.) On a less stressful note, the retreat was a lot of fun and was good for bonding. However, I still don't get how we ended up in a place without tvs, phones, clocks, or a/c.
Alright. So I guess I had more to say than what I thought. I'm going to bed.
| Today marks a week since I arrived at Furman. This first week of class (which consisted of 4 days) I had two classes cancelled (yeah for convocation and professors with kids!) and managed to get sick. Work is fine, and classes are alright. I'm not so sure how econ and music are going to go, especially since I thought music would be my easy class, and Spanish will be fine. Otra vez tengo Pilar Rus. Katie and I have finished decorating our room, (we just have to get light bulbs for our awesome lamp) and I must say I'm very proud of it. It is so much better than Chiles was last year. I still have yet to find an internet cable that works and is long enough to go from my computer to the dumb place where they put the connection. That reminds me. Though I am signed on aim and my away message is up, i can't read any of your messages b/c i accidently left aim on in alexandria, va. Last night Chris, Katie, Molly, Lauren, and I went to the Pi Kap. party and had so much fun! It was a great end to the week and a great start to what will surely be an awesome year.
Happy anniversary Chris and Katie!
| Sean visited me last week! He came in Tuesday night, which was actually Wednesday morning and left on Friday morning. It was so great to see him because besides having been awhile since I last saw him, all our plans seemed to fall apart and it was only at last minute that he was able to come down.
I think all my friends are back at school now. I got an email from Katie K. that she'd be moving in yesterday, so I guess I'm the last one left, which kind of sucks b/c I return to Chas. on Thursday and everyone will be gone. Oh well. I have plenty to do with doctor appointments, getting room decorations, and packing. Katie got the bathroom decorations since she'll be moving in before everyone else b/c she's on o-staff, and we're going to have a super-sleek bathroom. I just hope her carpet pickup today went well. We might end up with leopard printed carpet, and I'm not sure how I feel about that but I trust her. I'll keep you updated.
